Castelvecchio Castle dates back to around 1000 AD. The first documentary evidence of its existence is contained in a diploma dated 1037 and compiled by Bishop Landolfo, who chose the castle as his residence. It later became the favorite residence of the bishops of Turin, until it passed to the House of Savoy, who granted it as a fief to various families until the 18th century. Afterward, for a long time, the castle served as a convent of the Sacramentine Fathers.

Over the centuries, the building was remodeled several times, and various additions were made, including a chapel. In the 1980s, it was purchased by a group of families, completely restored, and divided into apartments. Today, it is an original private residence with a splendid panoramic park.
